Join us for a special screening of the investigative documentary “Ma Ka Doodh: Uncovering A Nation’s Dairy Disaster” at the local library. This feature-length film dives deep into the untold stories behind India’s White Revolution, the world’s largest dairy production and development campaign.
Follow Dr. Harsha Atmakuri as he travels over 20,000 kilometers across India, conducting nearly 100 interviews with notable figures such as Smt. Maneka Gandhi, Sri Acharya Prashant, and Padma Shri awardee Smt. Sudevi Mataji. The documentary explores the ethical, cultural, environmental, religious, economic, social, and political complexities of dairy consumption in India and reveals the direct link between the dairy industry and India’s status as one of the largest exporters of beef.
Discover the negative impacts of the dairy industry on India’s bovine population, public health, environment, and culture, and explore sustainable and ethical solutions proposed in the film.
