I became vegetarian when i was at primary school, something considered very weird in the Uk in the 60s. I am ashamed to say i then stuck my head in the sand until 2019 when someone asked me if i was vegan. All i could hear was a mother cow's pain when her baby was taken away. I instantly became vegan. At the time i was working for a charity called Education for health , i started conversations with Dr Shireen Kassam about a possible collaboration, i became treasurer of a vegan animal sanctuary whose mission is to create a more compassionate, sustainable world ( www.pohpsanctuary.com) and have co founded Plant Based Future which has a goal to support organisations to reduce carbon emissions by influencing their staff to eat plant based one day a week.
