I became a vegetarian in 2016 for the animals. I believe we are born into a societal cult that pushes animal products from the time we are children. As a child, we are not aware that the food given to us was a living, breathing sentient being and we trust our parents are doing the best thing for us. Even as adults, the cult mentality is engrained into our lives. For me, it was a short video of a factory farm that was so horrific it made me sick to my stomach. At that moment, I decided I would NEVER participate in the torture and horrific death of an animal again! I felt much better after eliminating flesh from my diet, however, in 2020 I became so sick that I was bedridden. We concluded it was the eggs and cheese that were harming my health.

I was experiencing around 11 lupus symptoms and was down to 89 lbs. I had a low grade fever most days and was so weak I could not get out of bed. I did not want to just lie there so I bought a ukulele and taught myself how to play. This kept my spirits up but I was not getting any better.

After being diagnosed with lupus, my physician wanted me to see a Lupus specialist for treatment. I would have been on a list of pharmaceutical drugs that probably would have made my condition worse. Most likely I would not be here today sharing my experiences with you. Instead, I did a lot of praying and found Dr. Brooke Goldner, a disease reversal doctor who reversed her own severe Lupus. I did her protocol for about 5 months before finally eliminating all of my symptoms. I then decided to take the same nutrition course that my doctor did to learn the science behind nutrition and cellular repair. I received my Cornell University certificate in Plant Based Nutrition in 2023.

While doing research for the course, I discovered that edestin protein, the protein source that is only found in hemp hearts, actually rebuilds DNA cells. I was in the hemp industry since 1998 and was considered a pioneer. I had been eating hemp for decades but did not understand the science behind edestin protein. I believe that God healed me so that I could share this information with others suffering from chronic illness. I started to develop recipes for the Planet Hemp Café franchise model, a plant based restaurant concept that uses edestin protein as the main protein source. I began to develop my own protocol and wrote the Edestin Diet Protocol book that helps people reverse disease on a cellular level.

My approach combines personal experience and cutting-edge nutritional science with practical, sustainable lifestyle changes that work for real people with busy lives. With 28 years experience in the hemp industry, I believe my expertise in hemp nutrition will guide people on a health journey to a complete lifestyle change that will save animals and the planet!
