I completed a full marathon while raising money for blood cancer research, although I came out of it with a stress fracture. This caused me to gain roughly 65 pounds. I found a nutrition protocol called Eat Right For Your Type where I was not yet Vegan but understanding nutrition more for the first time in my life. After dropping all my excess weight I found a Vegan restaurant close to where I lived and after two weeks I noticed incredibly positive changes within my body from an inflammation standpoint. Then one documentary about nonhuman animal health came out, and another about human animal health, and another about environmental health — needless to say the rest is history.
