Similar to previous events:

Join Dr. Sailesh Rao for a global Earth Day event to launch the 2020 Pinky Promise Tour: Presentations of “Healing the Earth and Preventing Our Extinction” via Zoom at 8am PDT, 1pm PDT, and 8pm PDT. Each presentation is followed by Q&A and discussion.
The Pinky Promise Tour is based on a pinky promise between Kimaya and her grandfather, Dr. Sailesh Rao, that he (and his friends) would create a Vegan World by 2026 to heal our earth and save her family — the animals.
Originally an in-person road show around North America, the Pinky Promise Tour is now virtual — and global — and with a solution that can not only help heal our climate and prevent species extinction, but can help heal 3 of the main risk factors for COVID-19 mortality (hypertension, diabetes and heart disease) and help prevent future zoonotic diseases. Because Covid-19 continues to spread and there is no clear indication when its progression can be checked, Michiana VegFest’s Board of Directors unanimously decided to reschedule our event to October 17, 2021. We look forward to welcoming everyone next year! In the meantime, we will organize online streaming events to promote our local sponsors, speakers, chefs, and exhibitors. Please stay tuned for announcements and take good care of yourselves.
Our FREE festival welcomes everyone in our community. Let’s celebrate a plant-based lifestyle for health, compassion, and the environment! Michiana VegFest brings together our northern Indiana and southwestern Michigan communities to explore an array of exciting flavors and options. By showcasing original vegan products and providing nationally recognized speakers and chefs, we promote a plant-based lifestyle for health, compassion, and environmental conservation. We encourage everyone to make healthy food choices for their own lives and to support our local vegan-friendly businesses and organizations.
In 2021, Michiana VegFest will have the whole first floor of the Century Center and will last one hour longer than in 2019. This means more space to move in and more time to enjoy speakers, chef demos, and exhibitors.
EVERYONE is invited to VegFest! We especially welcome children to a fun-filled, informational, and experiential Kids’ Corner.
