Dr. Faraz Harsini is a dedicated vegan educator and biomedical scientist. As the founder and CEO of Allied Scholars for Animal Protection (ASAP), he is leading the effort to build a comprehensive and sustainable infrastructure for animal advocacy in universities.
With a BSc in chemical engineering, a focus on environmental research, biofuel production, and nanobiotechnology, and a PhD in Cell Physiology and Molecular Biophysics, Dr. Harsini brings a wealth of scientific knowledge to his advocacy efforts. Despite a postdoctoral offer from MIT, he chose to work in biopharmaceutical companies, where he led drug development and discovery for various diseases.
His dedication to animal advocacy has earned him numerous awards and recognition, including an NIH award and a Student Leadership award for his vegan advocacy at his university.

Dr. Sabatino is a Chiropractic physician who also has a Ph.D. in cell biology and neuroendocrinology from the Emory University School of Medicine. The book of his original research on the effects of brain peptides on the regulation of reproductive hormones was published in 1988. I am the author of one of the very first vegan parenting books, Compassionate Souls — Raising the Next Generation to Change the World (C 2000.) My becoming vegan in 1991 was in direct response to touring pharmaceutical plants, animal health facilities, and industrial farms as part of my duties working as a microbiologist for a global pharmaceutical company.
I write, and speak nationally on veganism, provide cooking demonstrations and nutrition education and also speak on variety of health-related topics — including why vegans should be informed on and care about gluten.
